Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes when and how you may request a refund for any product, ticket, kit, membership benefit, or other purchase from 8PG. It is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service, Membership Agreement, Shipping Policy, and Chargeback Policy. The version of this Refund Policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.

For purposes of this Refund Policy, “8PG,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean 8PG Events. “You” and “your” mean any purchaser, member, applicant, ticket holder, reservation holder, kit recipient, or other person who completes a transaction with 8PG.

1. Refund Eligibility Window

The base refund eligibility window is 7 calendar days from the date of purchase, subject to the explicit carveouts in this Section and in the product specific sections below.

A refund request is eligible for review when all of the following are true at the moment the request is received by 8PG:

  • The request is made within 7 calendar days from the original transaction date.
  • The product has not been shipped from the 8PG fulfillment partner.
  • The product has not been delivered to you.
  • The event ticket is not within 7 calendar days of the event start date.
  • The kit, where applicable, has not been received by you and is not within 7 calendar days of the original delivery confirmation date.
  • The product is not a non refundable category as listed in Sections 2 through 5 below.
  • The request is made by the original purchaser, using the email address associated with the original transaction.

Any refund request that fails any one of these conditions is not eligible under the base window and is subject to the product specific rules below.

1.1 Carveouts From the 7 Day Window

The following carveouts apply to the base 7 day window and are described in detail in the product specific sections below:

  • No refund within 7 days of the event date. For King of Jars 2026, the event cutoff is 2026-09-12, after which no ticket refund is available regardless of the original purchase date.
  • No refund within 7 days of kit receipt. Once a Judges Kit or High Roller kit has been delivered to you, the 7 day post receipt window blocks any refund request inside that window.
  • No refund once shipped. Once a kit, apparel order, or other physical product has been handed off to the carrier or courier for delivery, the refund window is closed for that order.
  • No refund once delivered. Once a kit, apparel order, or other physical product has been delivered, signed for, or photographed at the delivery address you provided, the refund window is closed for that order.

These carveouts are stacked. The most restrictive carveout applicable to your order controls.

2. Cannabis and Hemp Derived Products

8PG distributes hemp derived products to members in accordance with applicable California law as a member benefit under the 8PG members only private club framework. Cannabis and hemp derived products are not retail sales and are subject to the strictest refund posture in this Policy.

No refund applies to any cannabis or hemp derived product once the product seal has been broken, the product has been consumed in whole or in part, the product has been shipped to you, or the product has been delivered to you.

Specifically:

  • Seal broken. Once the sealed inner packaging of any jar, container, vape, edible, concentrate, or other hemp derived product has been opened or tampered with, no refund is available.
  • Consumed. Once any portion of a product has been consumed, no refund is available.
  • Shipped. Once a product has been handed off to a licensed hemp carrier for far northern California fulfillment, or dispatched to an 8PG private courier for local California fulfillment, no refund is available.
  • Delivered. Once a product has been delivered, signed for at the door, or photographed at the door per the Shipping Policy, no refund is available.

A damaged on arrival exception is available only where the outer shipping carton or inner sealed packaging arrives visibly damaged and you report the damage to info@8pgevents.com within 48 hours of delivery confirmation with date and time stamped photographs of the carton, the damaged inner packaging, the affected product, and the shipping label. 8PG will review the damage report and may, at 8PG’s option, replace the damaged product, issue a store credit, or refund the affected line item.

3. 8PG Collection Apparel

8PG Collection apparel is sold as a standard consumer good and is eligible for return under the following rules.

  • 30 day return window. Apparel is returnable within 30 days of delivery confirmation when returned unworn, unwashed, with all original tags attached, and in the original packaging.
  • Return shipping. The buyer is responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to a defect on arrival or a fulfillment error by 8PG. Use a trackable shipping method; 8PG is not responsible for returns lost in transit.
  • Refund processing. Once 8PG receives and inspects the return, an eligible refund is processed within 5 to 10 business days back to the original payment method.
  • Defective on arrival. Apparel that arrives defective, mis sized as fulfilled (not as ordered), or with a fulfillment error is eligible for replacement within 14 days of delivery. Report the defect with photographs to info@8pgevents.com.
  • Final sale exclusions. Limited drop apparel, custom embroidered or personalized items, last unit clearance items, and items marked “final sale” at checkout are not eligible for return.

4. King of Jars Event Tickets

King of Jars 2026 tickets are governed by the following refund rules.

  • Transferable until 7 days before event. Up to 2026-09-12, you may transfer a ticket to another adult who is at least 21 years of age by contacting info@8pgevents.com with the transferee’s full name and email address. Transfers are subject to 8PG verification and 21 and older confirmation.
  • No refund within 7 days of event. From 2026-09-12 through the event date, no ticket refund is available for any reason within the buyer’s control.
  • No refund after the event. Tickets unused at the event date are not refundable.
  • Failure to attend. Failure to arrive, late arrival, missed entry window, transportation problems, scheduling conflicts, denial of entry for noncompliance with event rules, or removal for misconduct does not entitle you to a refund.
  • Force majeure. Refer to Section 8 for the Force Majeure framework. 8PG official event cancellation results in a full refund. 8PG postponement of the event results in no refund and your ticket carries to the new date.

5. Judges Kit and High Roller Kit

Judges Kit and High Roller kits are member benefits distributed under the 8PG members only private club framework, in accordance with applicable California law, and are subject to a hard kit cap of 200 kits total across both tiers. Kits contain hemp derived material per the 2018 Farm Bill posture described in the Shipping Policy and all required documentation, including Certificate of Analysis, lab tests, and 21 and older age verification at delivery.

  • No refund once shipped. Once a kit has been handed off to a licensed hemp carrier for far northern California fulfillment, or dispatched to an 8PG private courier for local California fulfillment, no refund is available.
  • No refund once delivered. Once a kit has been delivered to the address you provided, signed for by you or any authorized adult recipient, or photographed at the door per the Shipping Policy, no refund is available. Courier delivery with photo and signature constitutes delivery for purposes of this Policy.
  • No refund within 7 days of kit receipt. Inside the 7 day window following delivery confirmation, no kit refund request is eligible.
  • Limited 200 kit cap. Because of the hard 200 kit cap and the pre committed sourcing required to fulfill kits in compliance with applicable California law, kit purchases that have entered the fulfillment pipeline are not refundable on a change of mind basis.
  • Damage on arrival exception. A damage on arrival exception is available where the kit outer carton or inner sealed packaging arrives visibly damaged. Report within 48 hours of delivery confirmation with date and time stamped photographs to info@8pgevents.com.
  • VIP and General Admission kits. The VIP tier benefit does not include a hemp derived kit. General Admission does not include a kit. The 7 day base refund window applies to VIP and General Admission benefits, subject to the event ticket carveout in Section 4 and the Force Majeure tier in Section 8.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact 8PG at info@8pgevents.com with the subject line “Refund Request” and include:

  • Your full name as it appears on the payment method.
  • The email address used at checkout.
  • The order identifier, reservation identifier, or membership identifier.
  • The date of the original transaction.
  • The reason for the refund request.
  • Any supporting documentation, including photographs where damage on arrival or fulfillment error is alleged.

8PG will acknowledge your refund request within 1 business day of receipt and provide a substantive response within 5 business days of receipt. There is no fee to submit a refund request. 8PG will not retaliate against any customer for submitting a good faith refund request.

A refund request submitted in good faith and consistent with this Refund Policy is the proper first step in any dispute. Filing a chargeback before completing this process is a breach of the buyer covenant in the Chargeback Policy.

7. Refund Processing Time

Eligible refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days back to the original payment method. Bank, card network, and processor settlement times may add additional days that are outside 8PG’s control. 8PG will provide a refund confirmation by email at the time the refund is initiated.

Refunds are issued only to the original payment method used at checkout. 8PG does not issue cash refunds, gift card refunds for non gift card purchases, or refunds to alternate payment methods.

Where a refund was processed in error or exceeds the original amount paid, 8PG reserves the right to recharge the original payment method or seek repayment, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Force Majeure and Event Cancellation

For purposes of this Refund Policy, “Force Majeure” means any cause or condition beyond 8PG’s reasonable control, including without limitation: weather, fire, flood, earthquake, natural disaster, emergency, power outage, venue issue, government action, permit issue, law enforcement issue, public health issue, labor issue, transportation disruption, vendor failure, sponsor failure, security concern, safety concern, technical failure, utility failure, terrorism, civil unrest, war, epidemic, pandemic, and acts of God.

8.1 8PG Official Event Cancellation = Full Refund

If 8PG officially cancels an event in writing and does not reschedule it, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price paid to 8PG, processed within 5 to 10 business days back to the original payment method. 8PG will publish notice of any official cancellation on 8pgevents.com and will send an email notice to each ticket holder at the email address used at checkout.

Kits already shipped or delivered before the cancellation announcement remain non refundable under Section 5. Apparel orders are governed by Section 3.

8.2 8PG Postponement = No Refund, Ticket Carries

If 8PG postpones an event for any reason, including any Force Majeure cause, your ticket carries to the new date at no additional cost and no refund is available. 8PG will publish notice of the new date on 8pgevents.com and will send an email notice to each ticket holder. Where you cannot attend on the new date, you may transfer the ticket to another adult who is at least 21 years of age, subject to the transfer rules in Section 4.

8.3 Venue, Weather, Public Health, and Other Force Majeure

Where venue conditions, weather, public health requirements, government action, or any other Force Majeure cause requires 8PG to modify, shorten, relocate, partially close, or otherwise alter the event without canceling or postponing it, no refund is available. Your ticket remains valid for the modified event as published by 8PG. The modification may include changes to programming, lineup, hours, venue layout, access areas, or other elements at 8PG’s reasonable discretion.

9. Forfeiture Triggers

The following events trigger forfeiture of any refund right under this Policy.

  • Shipment. The order has been handed off to the carrier or courier for delivery.
  • Delivery. The order has been delivered, signed for, or photographed at the delivery address you provided.
  • Consumption. Any portion of a cannabis or hemp derived product has been consumed.
  • Seal broken. The inner sealed packaging of a product has been opened.
  • Inside 7 days of event. The current date is within 7 calendar days of the event start date.
  • Inside 7 days of kit receipt. The current date is within 7 calendar days of the kit delivery confirmation date.
  • Past 7 day base window. The current date is more than 7 calendar days after the original transaction date and no carveout extends the window.
  • No show. You failed to attend the event for which a ticket was purchased.
  • Removal for misconduct. You were removed from the event for noncompliance with event rules, the Terms of Service, or the Membership Agreement.
  • Denied entry. Entry was denied for failure to verify age, identity, eligibility, or other access requirements.
  • Buyer breach. You materially breached the Terms of Service, Membership Agreement, or Chargeback Policy.

10. No Chargeback Covenant

You agree to contact 8PG and to complete the refund request process described in Section 6 before initiating any chargeback, ACH reversal, processor dispute, or similar payment reversal. This is the buyer covenant not to chargeback described in detail in the Chargeback Policy, and it is a material term of every 8PG transaction. The Chargeback Policy provides a defined 5 business day cure period, a published Compelling Evidence Index, and stacked damages for any chargeback filed in violation of the covenant.

A chargeback filed before the refund request process has been completed and before the 5 business day cure period has elapsed is a breach of the Chargeback Policy and is subject to the remedies described there, including a $50 administrative fee per chargeback, recovery of the original transaction amount, recovery of actual damages, recovery of attorneys’ fees and collection costs, a $500 liquidated damages amount pegged to California Civil Code §1671(d), and permanent revocation of 8PG membership and event access.

11. Modifications

8PG may modify, update, revise, supplement, replace, or amend this Refund Policy at any time. Changes are effective when posted on 8pgevents.com or otherwise made available, unless a later effective date is stated. The version of this Refund Policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.

12. Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where federal law preempts California law or where applicable law requires otherwise. The dispute resolution, arbitration, and venue provisions of the Terms of Service and Chargeback Policy apply to any dispute arising under or relating to this Refund Policy.
