Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Last updated: June 1, 2026

This notice describes your right under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act and the implementing regulations of the California Privacy Protection Agency, to direct 8PG not to sell or share your personal information. It explains what 8PG does with your personal information, how to submit an opt out request, how to use an authorized agent, how 8PG honors browser based Global Privacy Control signals, and the other privacy rights available to California residents. For 8PG’s complete privacy practices, refer to the Privacy Policy.

For purposes of this notice, “8PG,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean 8PG Events. “You” and “your” mean any California resident who interacts with 8pgevents.com, 8PG memberships, 8PG events, or 8PG services.

1. Your California Privacy Rights Summary

If you are a California resident, you have the right, subject to applicable limitations, to:

  • Opt out of sale or sharing of your personal information for cross context behavioral advertising.
  • Know what categories of personal information 8PG collects, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties to whom 8PG discloses personal information.
  • Access the specific pieces of personal information 8PG holds about you.
  • Delete personal information 8PG holds about you, subject to legally permitted retention.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
  • Non discrimination. You will receive equal service and price and will not be discriminated against for exercising any privacy right.
  • Authorized agent. You may use an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf, subject to verification.

2. What 8PG Sells or Shares

Does 8PG sell personal information for money? No. 8PG does not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration in the ordinary meaning of that term.

Does 8PG share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising? Yes. 8PG engages in advertising measurement and attribution through two channels that the California Privacy Rights Act treats as “sharing” for cross context behavioral advertising even when no money changes hands:

  • Cookies. 8PG loads the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics 4 on 8pgevents.com. These technologies set browser cookies that may be used to attribute conversions, measure advertising effectiveness, and inform advertising audiences. The cookies set and their durations are described in the Privacy Policy Section 12b.
  • Meta Conversions API (CAPI). 8PG operates a server to server data flow that sends to Meta Platforms, Inc. the following data for advertising measurement and attribution: SHA 256 hashed email address, SHA 256 hashed phone digits where collected, IP address, user agent, the browser cookies _fbp and _fbc if present, and event metadata. The Conversions API is described in the Privacy Policy Section 12 and Section 17a.

Under the California Privacy Rights Act, both the Meta Pixel cookie behavior and the Conversions API server side flow constitute “sharing” of personal information for “cross context behavioral advertising.” This notice is provided to disclose that sharing honestly and to give you a clear, accessible way to opt out.

8PG does not knowingly sell or share personal information of California residents under 16 years of age.

3. How to Submit a Request to Opt Out

To opt out of sale or sharing of your personal information, send an email to info@8pgevents.com with:

  • Subject line: “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”
  • Body: Your full name and the email address you used when you signed up for 8PG, completed a form on 8pgevents.com, purchased a ticket, applied for membership, or otherwise interacted with 8PG. If you have used more than one email address with 8PG, list each one so we can apply the opt out to every record we hold for you.

8PG will:

  • Acknowledge your request within 10 business days of receipt.
  • Respond substantively within 15 business days of receipt, in accordance with California Privacy Protection Agency Regulations §7026.
  • Apply the opt out to your records across the affected systems, including the Meta Conversions API server side flow and the browser side advertising cookies for the identity associated with your request.
  • Confirm in writing that the opt out has been applied.

If 8PG needs additional time or additional information to respond to your request, 8PG will notify you in writing within the 15 business day window and explain the extension under the applicable regulation.

4. Authorized Agent Submission

You may use an authorized agent to submit a request to opt out on your behalf. To submit through an authorized agent, the agent must provide:

  • A copy of your written and signed permission authorizing the agent to submit the request on your behalf, or proof that the agent has power of attorney pursuant to California Probate Code §§4000 to 4465.
  • The agent’s contact information, including name and email address.
  • Sufficient information about you to allow 8PG to identify the records associated with your request, including the email address you used with 8PG.

8PG may also require you to verify your identity directly with 8PG or to confirm directly with 8PG that you authorized the agent to submit the request. 8PG may deny a request from an agent who does not provide adequate proof of authorization or where 8PG cannot verify the request as required or permitted by applicable law.

5. Global Privacy Control (GPC) Honor

8PG honors the Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt out of sale and sharing for California residents under California Privacy Protection Agency Regulations §7025. The Global Privacy Control signal is sent by your browser through the Sec-GPC HTTP request header and the navigator.globalPrivacyControl JavaScript property, and is enabled by browsers and extensions including Brave, DuckDuckGo, Firefox, and the GPC browser extension.

When the Global Privacy Control signal is detected, 8PG honors it both client side (the browser side advertising cookies are not loaded for the session) and server side (the Meta Conversions API server flow does not send hashed identifiers for events originating in the GPC enabled session). This dual layer honor is designed to give California residents a one click, frictionless opt out that takes effect immediately and persists across the browsing session without further action.

The Global Privacy Control opt out is associated with your browser, not your identity. If you change browsers, devices, or use a private browsing window without GPC enabled, you may need to either enable GPC in that environment or submit an email request under Section 3 to apply the opt out to your identity across browsers.

6. No Fee, No Retaliation

8PG will not charge any fee for processing your opt out request, your authorized agent request, or any other California privacy right request, in accordance with the California Privacy Rights Act and the implementing regulations. There is no fee, no minimum purchase requirement, no membership condition, and no other consideration required to exercise a privacy right.

8PG will not retaliate against you for exercising a privacy right. You will continue to receive the same service, the same product offerings, the same membership benefits, and the same access to events at the same price, regardless of whether you exercise any privacy right. 8PG will not deny goods or services, charge different prices, provide different levels of quality, suggest different levels of service, or threaten any of the foregoing for exercising a privacy right.

7. Verification Process

To protect your personal information, 8PG verifies the identity of every person who submits a California privacy right request. For an opt out of sale or sharing, the verification standard is reasonable identification of the consumer.

8PG verifies opt out requests by matching at least the email address provided in the request to the records 8PG holds for that email address. Where the request involves a deletion, correction, or access request rather than an opt out, 8PG may require additional verification, including matching additional data points associated with your account, such as billing address, order identifier, or membership identifier.

8PG will not use any information collected for verification purposes for any other purpose, and will retain verification information only as long as reasonably necessary to verify the request and document compliance.

8. Other California Privacy Rights

In addition to the right to opt out of sale or sharing described above, California residents have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act.

  • Right to know. You may request that 8PG disclose the categories of personal information collected, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties to whom 8PG discloses personal information.
  • Right to access. You may request the specific pieces of personal information 8PG has collected about you in the preceding 12 months, in a portable format.
  • Right to delete. You may request that 8PG delete personal information 8PG holds about you, subject to retention permitted or required by law for accounting, fraud prevention, chargeback defense, security, dispute resolution, agreement enforcement, or legal claims.
  • Right to correct. You may request that 8PG correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. Where 8PG uses or discloses sensitive personal information in a manner that would require a separate “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” link under California law, you may request to limit that use.
  • Right to non discrimination. You will receive equal service and price and will not be discriminated against for exercising any privacy right, as described in Section 6.
  • Right to appeal. Where 8PG denies a privacy request, you may submit an appeal by emailing info@8pgevents.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” 8PG will review and respond to the appeal within the time required by applicable law.

To exercise any of these rights, contact 8PG at info@8pgevents.com with a clear subject line indicating the right you are exercising. Full procedures for each right are described in the Privacy Policy Sections 23 through 28.

9. Cross Reference

For the complete California Privacy Notice, including the categories of personal information collected in the preceding 12 months, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purposes for collection, the categories of third parties to whom personal information is disclosed, the data retention periods, the sensitive personal information practices, and the rights of California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, refer to the Privacy Policy Sections 18, 26, 27, 28, and 30 through 32.

10. Modifications
